🔍 What Are Trades?

In specter, you can use trades to structure and visualize tasks. They are color-coded in the model, on printouts, and in the Lookahead Plan.

Trades help you:

  • Structure the task list

  • Visualize tasks by color in the model and Lookahead Plan

  • Organize work preparation more clearly

🛠️ Edit or Add Trades

You’ll find the trades under Menu > Work Preparation > Trades.

Here you can:

  • Edit existing trades (e.g. rename or change color)

  • Add new trades

  • Delete unused trades

🔒 Note:

Trades that are already in use in the model cannot be deleted – but you can still edit them (e.g. change their color).

🧪 Create a New Trade

  1. Click the plus icon (+).

  2. Enter a name (e.g. “Test”).

  3. Choose a color.

  4. Click Save.

The new trade will then be available when creating or editing tasks.

🔄 Import Trades from Another Project

If you’ve already set up trades in another project, you can easily import them – including their colors.

Click Import and select one of your existing projects from the list. You’ll see all projects you've worked on in specter.

🗂️ Assign a Trade to a Task

When editing a task, you can select the desired trade in the Trade field. Newly created types will be available here immediately.
