In this article, you’ll learn:

  • How to open the weekplan and flexibly place it next to the model

  • How to schedule building components, assign tasks, and use drag-and-drop

  • How to manage status updates directly in the weekplan

  • How to customize the displayed information in the weekplan

1. Planning with the Weekplan

1:10 – Plan tasks (drag-and-drop & date selection)

2:49 – Change task status in the weekplan

3:16 – Customize weekplan display

Step-by-Step Guide

Open the Weekplan:

Open the BIM view and the weekplan. The weekplan will appear on the right next to your model. You can change the position of the sections (e.g. display it on the left) by clicking Views > Layout edit in the top right and rearranging the areas using drag-and-drop.

Select Building Components and Check Status:

Select a building component in the model (e.g. a masonry wall).

To check whether the building component is already scheduled, activate Object Status:

  • Transparent = not yet scheduled

  • Dark blue = already scheduled

Click on a building component to select it. To select and plan multiple building components, hold down the Shift key and click the ones you want.

Assign Tasks in the Weekplan:

There are two ways to plan tasks:

Option A – Drag-and-Drop

  • Click on Plan in the weekplan to display tasks for the selected building component.

  • Drag tasks (e.g. formwork, reinforcement, concrete work) to the desired days in the weekplan.

Option B – Date Selection

  • Click on the word Plan below a task.

  • Select the date or time range from the calendar.

    • One click = single-day task

    • Two clicks (start and end) = multi-day task

Change Task Status

By default, a newly scheduled task is marked as Planned.

Click the status to change it step by step:

Planned → Started → Completed → Delayed (with reason)

The model will automatically update colors based on the status.

Customize Displayed Information

Click the gear icon (settings) in the top right of the weekplan.

Choose which information to display (e.g. man-hours, quantity, grid position).

Use the arrow icons to reorder the information fields.

2. Select and Reschedule Tasks in the Weekplan

Learn how to easily copy and move tasks within the weekplan.

Timestamps:

0:00 – Introduction

0:10 – Select tasks (single and multiple)

0:34 – Select consecutive tasks

0:58 – Open the action menu

1:08 – Cut and reschedule tasks

1:48 – Copy tasks to repeat them

2:34 – Edit labels for multiple tasks

Step-by-Step Guide:

Selecting and Editing Tasks

  1. Click on a task in the weekplan to select it.

  2. To select multiple tasks, hold down the Ctrl key or use the checkbox in the far-right column.

  3. To select consecutive tasks (e.g. Monday to Wednesday), hold the Shift key.

  4. To repeat tasks in the same order (e.g. for the following week), select Copy, then Paste them in sequence.

  5. To reschedule tasks, use Cut – this moves them when pasting elsewhere.

  6. You can also edit task status and labels via the Action menu.

Use the arrow icons to change the order of displayed information.

3. Grouping Tasks and Building Components in the Weekplan

The grouping logic helps define the level of detail in your weekplan and simplifies task management.

Step-by-Step Guide:

Adjusting the Grouping Logic in the weekplan

  1. Click the gear icon in the top right of the weekplan.
Choose your preferred grouping logic via Group by.

  2. After selecting the desired logic, the building components listed in the left column of the weekplan will adjust accordingly.

    Example:

If only “Object type” is selected, the item “Wall” appears in the left-hand column.
If you select “Effort type”, the work steps that belong to the wall object type, such as formwork, formwork stripping, reinforcement or concrete, are listed separately one below the other.

This allows you to control the level of detail for your weekplan.

  3. To undo your selection, simply go back to Group by and make a new choice.
