Step-by-step guide
1. Check prerequisites
Before you can split an object, it must be unplanned. Only unplanned objects can be divided into sections.
How to check the status:
Via the info box: If there is no entry in the actual plan, the element is unplanned.
Via model coloring (object status):
Transparent = not planned yet
2. Prepare the object
To place the cut precisely, it is recommended to:
Show the axes and coordinate system in the model
Isolate the element:
Select the element
Right-click → Show only selected object
This way, you see only the element in the context of the axes and can orient yourself more easily.
3. Create a cut
Open the Split function in the toolbar.
Click with the mouse on the desired location of the element.
Adjust the cut more precisely if necessary, e.g., using the axes in the right-hand window via Show geometries.
Enter a name and save.
The object is now divided into multiple sections.
4. Edit or delete cuts
If you want to adjust a cut:
Reopen the Split function.
Select the cut in the overview.
You can delete the cut or create a new one.
5. Adjust cut angle (360° tool)
With the 360° tool, you can change the angle of a cut edge:
Click the tool and select the desired edge.
Adjust the angle until the cut is placed as required.
The different colors immediately show you how the object has been divided after the cut.
