Step-by-step guide

Creating a new expense class

  1. Click on the menu at the top left and select Calculation.

  2. Open the internal calculation by clicking on Internal below the menu bar. The internal calculation is usually already open.

  3. Object categories define the object groups. Here you can decide whether, for example, the designation "Slab" is sufficient or whether more specific subdivisions are required.

    1. The creation of further subdivisions is explained in step 7.

  4. In the right-hand area, click on the + symbol to add a new calculation group, which can be given any name.

The "floor slab" example is used in the video.

  5. Work steps can be assigned to the respective calculation groups after creation by clicking on the + symbol.

A menu opens to name the work step and assign it to an expense type. Additional information can also be added, such as costs per unit. If it is the last work step for an object, this can be defined here by ticking the Final Task box.

Save the work step with the corresponding calculations by clicking on Save.

If further work steps are to be added, you can click on the + symbol again and the process is repeated.

  6. Add object groups to the coalculation group
To now link the work steps or the costing group to an object group, the costing group to be assigned remains open and the appropriate object group (left) is added by clicking on the arrow symbol.

Once the object group has been added to the calculation group, this is listed below the work steps:

  7. Edit object groups
To create more detailed maps of the object groups, click on Edit.

In the default setting, the "Object category" filter type is used first. This can be extended by selecting another filter type, such as "Object type".

The object groups displayed in the form of cards are now expanded:

  8. If you decide to expand the object groups, it is helpful to filter the object groups in order to be able to assign them to the respective calculation groups. If, for example, all reinforced concrete walls are to be assigned to a calculation group, it is very helpful to use the filter function. At the same time, the open BIM viewer always shows which components are in the current selection:

  9. The filtered object groups, e.g. all STB walls, can be selected and assigned together by clicking on the Select all button and then using the arrow symbol to make the assignment, as explained in step 6.

  10. In addition to the option of filtering certain object groups, only unassignet object groups can be selected in order to assign them or to ensure that all relevant building components have been considered.

  11. In the last step, the changes are saved by clicking on the green diskette at the bottom right. A window opens asking you again whether the changes you have made should actually be saved:
